All the details you need to know about the #NSale

Hey Guys!

Holy cow, I can't believe the #NSale is already back and ready to shop!

I get so excited for this sale every year, it's so much fun and gives me so much style inspiration for the fall.

If you're not already familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this is a sale they have once a year where all of their new fall arrivals get released for a limited time on sale before they go back to regular price. Most people shop for items at the end of each season once they finally go on sale, so this is so cool it gives everyone the opportunity to get new arrivals at a sale price before the season even starts.

First off I want to share all of the details with you and dates to remember.

---This year for Early Access, Icon and Ambassadors cardmembers pre-shop July 10–11 in stores.

And, for the first time ever, Icons and Ambassadors can pre-shop online on July 11, starting at 12:30pm ET.

--- I'm sure most of you aren't that level so for most of you the early access for cardholders you can shop the sale on Friday July 12th-18th.

*** If you have been thinking about getting a card, now is the perfect time to open one up and it's not too late! You can apply for a card HERE . They used to have a debit card you could open up but unfortunately they don't offer that option anymore. We have the Nordstrom credit card and what I love about it is that we get all the benefits that come with being a cardholder but you can still choose to pay with a different payment method or your debit card if that's what you choose. So if keeping up with a credit card balance intimidates you it's nice to know that you have the option to not rack up a balance on a credit card. Or you can just keep your balance low and make sure to pay it off right away. With that being said I know there is so much hype that comes along with this sale but it's never worth putting yourself in a tough position over. If you aren't a cardholder and still want to shop the sale you can still shop when the sale opens up to the public from July 19th- August 4th.

Here is a photo of all the dates you can screenshot so you don't forget any of the important dates. The biggest days of the sale are July 12th and the 19th. Things sell out SO fast! I remember last year things sold out the first day of the early access and were never restocked so I think that was super surprising to everyone and something to keep in mind this year. Hopefully this year they are better about restocking but If there is something you have your eye on, DO NOT WAIT!

Some tips that I have to keep in mind when shopping the sale are:

1) Go through your closet and kind of take a little inventory of what you have already and some things that you're needing and looking for. This sale can get super overwhelming and I have found that this is the best way to stay on track.

2) Make a list of things you're looking for; shoes, jeans, cardigans, etc. and think about what colors and patterns you are looking for so when you find key pieces that you love you can quickly and easily narrow down what you actually need and you're not left with too many light pieces, dark pieces, or similar pattern pieces. It really makes transitioning your summer wardrobe to fall and helps better your chances of mixing and matching new pieces to pieces you currently have.

3) Make a rough budget and stick to it as best as you can. I know this sale can be hard with so many great deals but it is super helpful to create a budget to keep you on track.

4) A top question I get asked is what do I look for during the sale. I like to first look at the big ticket items that I've had my eye on. Last year I got a new luggage set and a GloPro kit. Those for me were the big ticket items that I purchased since they were such a great deal. However I did wait until the end of the sale to purchase them because those types of items don't tend to sell out the fastest. I like to look at those items first and budget for them later in the month and then move on to the items that I know will sell out the quickest. The items I've found to sell out the quickest and the slowest to restock so I look at the shoes and I purchase my shoes I want immediately. Just because it's in your cart doesn't mean they won't sell out in the meantime. Since it's free shipping I just place that order first then move on to the clothes. Next, I look for basics (cardigans, tees, sweaters, denim, and activewear) and place another order. Those Items sell out super quick also so that's why I try to keep in mind what I'm looking for and what colors I need to add to my closet and go from there. It tends to keep me focused and shop quicker when I have a system. After I place my second order I look for mens, kids, home, and beauty because they don't sell out as quickly and even put things in my wishlist that I might want to get towards the end of the sale.

I hope these tips are helpful to you and allow you to be prepared and feel ready for what's to come rather than feel stressed and overwhelmed. Below I will share my favorite pieces from the sale last year and how I ended up styling them through the seasons.

I will be adding to my #NSale highlight on instastories at my instagram page HERE and I'll be uploading my favorite items on the Liketoknow.it app as well, if you don't already follow me you can click HERE to start! It's a free app and a great resource to shop all of your favorite bloggers items! I'll also create a new blog post with organized categories to make it super easy and convenient so make sure to check back on Friday when the sale goes live.
